No-Hitters

On Monday yet another no-hitter was thrown. This time it was the Rays Matt Garza. He joins the list for 2010: Dallas Braden (perfect), Ubaldo Jimenez, Roy Halladay (perfect), Edwin Jackson, Armondo Gallarado (almost perfect, except for a blown call in the 9th inning). It is wild what steroids did to the game of baseball over the last 15 years and now that they are gone it just shows that great pitching will beat great hitting. The game is slowing changing from most HR in a season the most Wins, Strikeouts, No-Hitters in a season. All of this makes me feel a little sad but my prediction is about 10 years of a slight advantage to the pitchers but it will all work out and the batters will get their chance to shine. Thats my take on all of the dominating pitching performances lately. Let me know what you think.

USFL

I watched ESPN's 30:30 last night and I think this is a great series and would encourage you to all watch it. Not to give anything away if you haven't watched it but here we go. I think a spring football league is great and there should definitely be one today. But there are a few key points that the owners and league management needs to realize.
1) There is no chance of becoming the number one football league. And you also have no chance of merging. 32 teams if too much, do you really think the 38 teams will work? NO
2) Take your time. If you rush anything then you will majorly fail.
3) Don't let it become a dictatorship. (Donald Trump)
4) Make it fun, especially for the fans.
5) Keep it in the spring.
6) 12 teams and no more.

These are what I learned from this documentary, and about half of these key points were majorly broken by the infamous Donald Trump, who totally trumped the whole USFL.

Texas vs. OU Game

Well it's halftime of the OU, UT game and I can't believe how many fumbles there are. It is just crazy how many there has to be like 7 already. Colt McCoy needs to seriously stop running the ball. He just flat out sucks. And Sam Bradford I feel very sorry for because all of the NFL teams are going to say injury prone. But if they were smart they would look at Adrian Peterson and realize that he got injured in his final year as well, and now we all know what he has turned into (hint: Rams draft Bradford).
I've also noticed how fast both of these two teams' defenses are compared to K-State or a Big 10 school. It is just amazing what the south produces. That's all I've got for now check back soon.

Red Sox

As I look back at this year I can only think of the 4 game series in the Bronx. These 4 games changed both teams drastically Boston settled for the Wild Card after this they thought hey why even give it your all when we can make the playoffs and just put it in cruise control. The Yanks on the other hand decided we are great and we are going to prove it and they did that very well. I got to give it to the Yankees they proved me wrong, I thought they were going to choke and everyone was going to just laugh at them for spending all of that money and three players.
There is one player that could have put the Red Sox on top in the American League East and that player is Mark Teixeira if only the Sox could have got him. Later

Divisional Series

I have been paying very close attention to these baseball playoffs this year. Well pretty much because I was sick on Wed and had nothing else to watch. I hate the Yanks but I got to admit they are going to be hard to beat. My team as you will come to know is the Boston Red Sox. They are really disappointing me so far falling behind 0-2 and they are putting themselves in a very hard situation. But I guess its not that bad because they get to come back to Boston and play at the magical Fenway Park. But why we can't hit Lackey and Weaver I don't know they really aren't that good but I guess they were all tired or something because they had to travel to the West Coast.
All but the COL/PHI have been dominated by one team so it hasn't been great yet but that doesn't mean it can't change. Wow I just saw that the Dodgers beat the Cards. I'm pretty disappointed in St. Louis I thought along with others that they could win the World Series so now I'm sorry to say that the Yanks chance of winning it just went up. But it could go back down if the Red Sox could make an improbable comeback. Help me rout for my Sox so them Yankees go down.

K-State Vs. Texas Tech

As I watch this game I wonder why can't K-State run this crazy spread offense throw the ball every time. Well probably because we don't have a QB at all. It thought our Defense was a positive but now I think it needs the most work. Bill Snyder had some problems but still made a heck of a lot better calls then what Ron Prince would have called. Right now its 59-7 and I'm about ready to start routing for Tech. These announcers need to stop being only Tech fans its really making me mad. So hopefully we have a better showing next week vs A&M but I'm not sure what team will come out to play that night ISU or Tech? Who knows? Bill it is defiantly going to take a couple of years to get a competitive team back that can face any Big 12 team and have a legitimate chance of winning. Well that's my sorry first post hopefully the next one will be a little better.
